Wolf's Den

We, personally, didn't really have much damage, beyond losing power for 22.5 hours. A bunch of smaller branches down in the backyard and the like.



But my poor tomatoes took a beating.



Luckily, the tops only had mostly flowers or buds and no set fruit yet. Plus, they seem to be bouncing back ok.



The Butterfly Bush had a huge branch twisted violently to the ground. It didn't splinter or break, so we propped it back up. This fall, I'll prune it back drastically to help it recover better.

A special request cuff in University of Michigan colors. Have I mentioned I'm a Michigan State fan? Yeah. But, well, Colin asked for one, so I'm making one.



I'm actually finished with the kumihimo part of it. Now I need to form the actual cuff itself. Plan is to have it finished by early next week, so I can ship it off in time for his birthday. 16th at that. Man, I feel old.

Yesterday we went gravehunting for photo requests on Find A Grave. Found several that weren't on the list but were the same last names, and absolutely none that were on the list. We managed to arrive at this particular cemetery just after the main office closed, so couldn't ask for a general location of the family plots. Now we know when they close and next weekend, will get there earlier. Hey, it's good exercise and fresh air, what more could you want? }:P
