Sneak preview shots of a Sims2 story I'm working on...

Not the best shots, as I apparently forgot to switch the camera over to the save screen where there would be no grid lines on a few...

I'm sure many will recognise him. He happens to breed delightfully gorgeous children, both Alien and full blood Human, and is used quite often in legacies, stories, etc. No, not Frances- I don't get the fascination with Frances Worthington, myself.

Katu Sims on LJ put out a request for a house.

So since I had this house in progress, I said I'd finish it, take screenshots and post them for her, so she could see if it'd be something she'd be interested in using.

Also included is a second Victorian-ish house I just finished today. This one has Mansard roofing, is partially landscaped and nearly fully furnished/decorated.

BOTH ARE NOW UP FOR DOWNLOAD.

Been working on the Memorial scarves. Got all the reserved listed, as well as the extras. Now to wait for them to sell.

Dyed 2 new Habotai scarves for the upcoming ARWNY auction. I decided to do 2 that I haven't already dyed previously, so these are completely new scarves.

I'm thinking January time frame for starting to look for our next Akita. Honestly? The fence doesn't really have to be finished right away. We do still have the lead run up and the pup would, invariably, be inside with me most often. Plus there's the park down the street. It's just, time frame wise, I think that would be a good time to start looking. No upcoming vacations that would leave the pup behind, it'll be nearly a year after Dante leaving us. I think I'll be ready by then. We'll see.

Harvested the first bunch of green beans from the garden yesterday. Not many, but there's lots of baby beans still out there. Have a zucchini growing as well.

The Day lilies went nuts, rather like the Irises did, this year. The Praying Mantis is still occupying the Basil and Salvia out front. The squirrels found the volunteer Sunflower and ripped it out. That'll teach me to not keep the feeders fill. Oops.

Sims started boring me, so I started building houses for awhile. Now I'm trying out a 'poverty challenge', but will post it as a storyline of sorts rather than a legacy. Never could get into the legacy style of writing. Blackblade Clan needs to be updated. The next Chapter is written, just need to figure out what screenshots to use. Been rethinking the plot line for it, and haven't decided if I want to continue with the way I have it in the notes for it, or if I want to streamline it more. May streamline it a bit. We'll see.

Saw 'Hellboy II' last weekend with the bro in law and sis in law. If you like 'Pan's Labyrinth', you'll liked HB II. Very visually pleasing. A little slow in some areas, but it makes up for it. Going to see 'The Dark Knight' this weekend. Hope it's as good as the trailers and such make it out to be. Even if it's not, Christian Bale will make up for it.

It needs to not be so hot, so I can go start digging out where I want the pond to be.

Speaking of ARWNY, they are having their 4th annual picnic the weekend we plan to be in New Jersey. I talked Mark into going, mentioned it to his mom, who told his dad, who said he might be interested in going too. It'll be nice, finally meeting a few of the people I only know via emails and the Akita Rescue list, as well as meeting their Akitas.

Stupidity going on the various Sims2 comms, makes me realize that I really should have stayed a lurker. Oh well. Most I go to for the CC and such, not the scintillating conversations. /sarcasm.

My computer hates me, that's all there is to it.

I can play Sims2 for roughly 10-15 minutes before I get a Blue Screen o' Death.

Mark's gonna take a look at it this weekend.

It was fine a week ago when I was playing, now suddenly, it hates me. Grrr.

Got woke up by the high winds early this morning. In particular when one gust blew the window fan in. Yeah, it was that bad.

I asked Mark when he came back up to let me know he was heading towork, if we had any windchimes and bird feeders left.

If I'd realised it was going to get that bad, I'd have taken them down last night.

Heard from the 'rents. Dad's mitrochondrial(sp?) valve IS leaking again. There's a knot to one side that's allowing the back flow, but it's not as serious as it was years ago when he needed the first surgery. And the stent in the right side appears to be possibly collapsing again. However, his kidney doctor has said absolutely NO catherizations unless it's a matter of life and death. So he goes back in 6 months for a checkup and goes from there. Mom said she was described all the symptoms for when it does collpase, and they'll be watching for them, as it apparently happens quickly, symptom wise.

The sad part? His leaky valve bit is genetic. }:/

Need to edit some screenshots for Chapter 2 of The Blackblade Clan. Then get to work on Chapter 3. Been puitting it off, trying to finish my monthly Challenge piece for the Etsy BeadWEavers, who by the way, have a very nice article up on why we bead.}:) That piece needs to be finished by Feb 5th. I have 5.5 inches and a clasp to do on the choker/necklace itself. That will be the main entry.

I'm planning a bracelet and earring set to go with it, but want to get the necklace done first, so I can hopefully enter it.

This weekend, Goat might be coming over with Julie for dinner. Need to work on my other shops as well.

Have to get a new Bodrum Teapot.}:( I broke mine last night, putting dishes away, a small spice cup fell out of the cupboard, hit it and proceeded to land on my toes. I then, later, when getting dinner together (Shepherd's Pie, Wolf style- herbed garlic redskin taters, and venison burger with celery heart chopped into it), sliced the back of my finger open on an edge of it.

I've lost 7lbs in a week. This is good.

Got a new CD in the mail, Eisbrecher Leider/Vergissmeinnicht. Just need to get the rest of them now too, especially their newest. And Emigrate's new one too.

Looking at the radar, we may get a brush of it, but I'm thinking that 3 inches they said we were going to get, isn't going to happen. We still have roughly just under an inch left on the ground out back. Need to upload the photos I took Thursday of it.

Tried playing Sims2 last night, after finally getting the fool computer straightened out.

Ended up having to remove all the hacks, and redownload them. Got tired of the errors they were throwing up every 20 seconds or so. TwoJeffs has a 'Director's Cut' of the hacks he uses in his game. Surprisingly, most of them are ones I use in my game. Ended up getting rid of the Squinge hacks. Will look later to see if someone updated the few I used.

Game ran well for a little while. Then I tried to adjust my Sims penis (yes I have a penis hack), as I'd downloaded an updated version. Well, the game immediately crashed. Hrm.

So I removed it, redownloaded it, reinstalled it, and tried again. It crashed again. So I went looking for the old version. Heh. After all, I really didn't need all the new features the new version has. Also, ACR (Autonomous Casual Romance) seems to be causing errors. Even after downloading and installing the supposedly updated version. So I took it out this morning and later I'll try again to see if that fixes it.

Took abit of searching, but I found the updated version of the Lot DeBugger as well, so THAT will help greatly.}:)

Hopefully I've got the bugs worked out. And now I can concentrate on working on The BlackBlade Clan.

But the 160gig drive got put in and most everything reinstalled.

I say most everything because I need to wait to reinstall Microsoft Office as Mark's boss currently has it and she's out sick.

I know there's programs I've not installed, but obviously I don't need them.

Photo software is in, editing software is in. FRAPS redownloaded, ICQ redownloaded, etc.

Even, obviously, Semagic redownloaded and set back up.}:P

Then I had the Fun! job of reinstalling 12 Sims2 games- the actual game, 6 epansions and 6 stuff packs. AND almost 10gigs worth of Custom Content and the programs used with the Sims2 (CleanInstaller, See Them hack, Color Enable Package).

So I loaded up all the games, took 3 hours. Started up the game to make sure SecuRom wasn't going to cause issues. amazing how fast it starts with no CC. Made sure to enable CC, reset the screen settings, the display settings, etc and exited out.

Then I spent another 2 hours reinstalling all the CC.

1am I finally finished. Started at 2pm.

Naturally I had to start the game back up again to make sure that the CC showed up. Especially the Insimenator, as it was updated and I wanted to see the new stuffs.}:P

Needless to say, it worked fine, most everything showed up. Somehow I'm missing a few meshes for clothing. No biggie. Played around with the new Traveller family, sent them on vacation, then went to bed.}:P Today I'll mess around with things that require the other hacks I have and make sure they still work. Might have to find a new camera mod, I don't think GunMod's works as well anymore.

I did notice that the 160gig drive runs slower than the 80gig drive, even with 25% more free space. Odd, that. (the 80gig was at 56% free, this one is at 77% free)

Right now I need to work on Chapter 2 of The Blackblade Clan. and get it uploaded.}:)

Wow apparently I got the new improved updated Semagic as I now have a tag option while logged into IJ on it, woohoo!

Oh and on top of the 4 inches we got yesterday, and have maybe 2 inches left of, they're calling for another 3 inches of snow tomorrow. And funny how when you get a raise, you see to have even less money than before. But hey, the bills are all paid off for the month, save one that's due next week, and that means that next week's check will be mostly stock up on groceries and set aside money. }:P

When we last left them, Grian and Brandi had just celebrated the birth of their firstborn son, Gaothan...

Warnings- Mild nudity, nonpixelated.

For the most part, Grian and Brandi were good parents...

Playing with Gaothan...

Going the almost entirely natural route with feeding...

Grian even stepped up and changed diapers every so often. After the first few times of picking Gaothan up and the diaper falling off, he became quite proficiant at it.

But there were still the times that he simply was at a loss as to what to do with this... baby. After all, he'd been an only child. It wasn't like he had any experience.

Those were the times that Brandi simply shook her head and took the baby.

Gaothan's first bath. Memorialized by Grian taking a photo. Poor kid, does every new parent do this? (mine did, heh)

Grian doted on his firstborn son, marveling in the fact that he was his.

That's not to say that Brandi suffered a lack of attention, oh no! In fact...

Sometimes SHE got more attention than the baby!

She got used to eating dinner while Grian insisted on feeding Gaothan before he ate his, despite his plate being cold by the time he was done feeding the baby a bottle, burping him, and putting him in his crib.

In fact, she found it quite.. stimulating...

Yup, stimulating in many ways. Which can lead to other things...

And we all know what this means...

Yes indeed we do.}:P Secondborn of Gen 1 on the way.

Gaothan decided that since mommy apparently likes to vomit, he wanted to, too!

Alll over mommy. In fact, I believe the little monster was giggling when he did it too.

Get used to it, Brandi, it happens to you alot.

Grian had called a Nanny and the Maid Service prior to heading to work after a few days off, to help Brandi out with the baby and all...

The maid, Kaylynn, is a stalker.

Must. Mop. Puddles. Ummm... Kaylynn, that's why there's a drain... oookkkkk.....alrighty then...

About this time Brandi's thinking she needs to give the maid service a call...

And give them a piece of her mind!
Might want to call that Nanny service too, there, Brandi. (The Nanny did this almost CONSTANTLY. When she wasn't putting Gaothan on the floor, waking him to put him on the floor, eating their food, she was standing around, slack jawed. )

Brandi's wondering what she's gotten into. Blame Grian, HE called them.

Days pass...

TAKE . THIS. BABY. I mean it, take him....

Or I'ma goin' to drop 'im... Yeah, this second pregnancy is abit rough on Brandi.

But that's ok though...

Because after Grian has his dinner, Gaothan has his, and Grian changes out of his work clothes...

It's time for Gaothan's first birth day!

Looks are deceiving. Gaothan looks happy, looks like he's watching his dad...

Yet Grian, in the beginning of a recurring theme, is not so much happy about the impending birth day baby toss. Maybe the cake wasn't a flavor he likes...

Toss the baby time. You know, in real life, this would be considered child abuse. O.o

Baby becomes Toddler. Let the fun begin.

UggTowne Saga, Part One... (40+ pics)

Welcome to UggTowne!
Population... Unknown at this time. No one bothered to count the Native Population. Heh. However, a new family will be arriving soon...

(Warnings- none in this episode, amazingly)

This is Grian Ishkabibble, Founder of the new Ishkabibble line of Uggtowne. Formerly clean cut and straightlaced, once he was out from under the 'officials' eyes, he grew his hair out and went for more comfy clothes.

First thing he did, as per his resettlement agreement in the new towne, was find a good job. In his case, it was in Law Enforcement, because apparently, there wasn't enough cops around yet to keep the Natives from getting too unruly. (LTW is to become Capt Hero)

Almost as soon as he was done applying for his new job, the local Welcome Wagon rolled up to his front door.

Two female specimans of the Native Population climbed out, along with a nonconsequential male.

Grian hit it off quite well with the brunette...

And not so well with the blonde, who constantly turned down any offers of admiration with a sneer. Stuck up Bimbo.

Apparently, watching boxing while talking about the local economy, or lack thereof, was normal in this part of the new frontier.

After a short wooing period, Grian managed to win over the brunette, whose name is Brandi LeTourneau.

He invited her over the next night, for dinner, preparing Chicken Fettecini for his ~~victem~~ new Crush.

He gave her backrubs, flirted shamelessly....

Even got a First Kiss from her. Whereupon she fell in love. And went home dreaming about Grian.

The next day, Grian went to work, came home and made a new friend, who promptly tried to destroy his couch.

He then worked on his Body, all the better to impress his new girlfriend.. or tried to anyway.

After a quick shower, he called Brandi up and talked fashion. Then he invited her over for dinner again that night.

She came right over and they promptly got down to the making out in the driveway, on the sidewalk, whereever they found themselves.. must be true love.

Getting down on one knee..

Grian proposed...

Naturally Brandi accepted...

Not wanting to waste any time, after all, he wasn't getting any younger...

They got married immediately, right there in the street, under the stars.

And they went in, finally, to try for Generation 1 of the Ishkabibble family line of UggTowne...

Doing what all newlyweds do on their wedding night...

(It took, for the record, 3 tries and still no baby chimes. Grr)

Brandi got a haircut.

The next day, while Brandi worked on a painting,

Grian went back to working on his Body skill, all in the name of promotions at work.

After a shower, he showed off his new muscles to his new bride, in the hopes of enticing her back to bed....

Apparently, it worked.

They went to work the next morning, Grian to his Patrol Officer job, Brandi to her Military job...

But as soon as she was dropped off by the carpool, she went sprinting for the bathroom.. Could it be?

Yes! Generation 1 has been conceived!

Fast forward a day...

Pop #1 early night fall, right after they went to bed (and screwed like bunnies again).

Fast forward again...

Pop #2 came during late night dinner of ginger fried beef.

Fast forward yet a third time...

Might not be such a good idea to rile up a pregnant woman who's due any time, while playing videos games...

In fact...

It's a really Bad Idea (tm)...

Yup. Brandi might not let you touch her ever again, Grian.

But then again... and here, folks, is where we learn that Brandi, the hussy, dyes her hair brown.

Meet Gaothan Ishkabibble, Firstborn of Generation 1. He has his parents' skintone, his mother's true hair color- Black and his father's eyes- Green.

When your Sims are having their Golden Wedding Anniversary Party, try not to let the male Sim flirt with a female guest in front of his wife.

She really didn't like it.

Now she wants nothing to do with him.

Thankfully, she's already plat for the Lifetime Want of said Anniversary and he's already plat from becoming Capt. Hero, but still, man was it funny.}:P

Oh and her face got stuck with the 'oh my god! I can't believe you did that to me!' look.

This is Raveena with baby Setra at Setra's birth day party.

Setra playing in the leaves. Was so adorable.

Setra and Raveena playing 'toss Setra in the air'. I thought it came out pretty good. Too bad I couldn't get in closer. Took abit of doing to get this particular angle.

Need to find some good shots of Drava, and little Taven, who's now a toddler too. First thing her sister Setra did(they grew up on the same day, Setra is now a child), was go play with her little sister. Heh. Too cute.

My hair is now purple. Well, some of it anyway. Ultra Violet and Deadly Nightshade, to be precise.

Had one person who works at the pet/gift store I buy my Solid Gold dog food at, ask why my hair was purple. She was surprised to learn I no longer work at the store. Heh.

Speaking of store, was in there getting money orders to pay bills, and a regular asked if I wasn't on the wrong side of the counter. Donna told him, no, didn't you see her hair, she don't work here any more. She can't work here with her hair like that. He asked if I quit simply because I wanted to dye my hair, when I said of course not, he said, good I didn't think you were that dense.}:P

Was at Ukrop's, picking up some Matcha, and the cashier, older black lady, maybe early 40's, asked if the picture of the man on my shirt was my boyfriend. I glanced down, and said, 'No, that's Rob Zombie'. She said, 'who's he, a rock star? '. I said 'yes, as a matter of fact he is. '

Was at Krogar getting the rest of the groceries and one of the butchers walks by, says, Rob Zombie, eh? So then we proceeded to have a 10 minute conversation about Rob Zombie and his new movie Halloween, that we are going to go see on Sat.

I find this amusing because Mark and I have been discussing going to Jersey to catch one of Rob Zombie's concerts in New York City , Dec 22nd. (I had thought there was one in Philly, but I guess not. Wierd, could have sworn it said Philly, not Pittsburgh). He'll be there with Ozzy. We're planning to stay with his parents and drive *gulp* into New York City, as it's 2 hours away. So we'll see.

My Steinwood family of Sims continue to amuse me.

The family that blows bubbles together... ?

Morgana and Skylar's daughter, Morwenna, has grown to a child. They have a son, Shane, who's a toddler. And twin alien babies, a boy named Sirius and a girl named Meissa(both star names). Fixed the family ties so they are considered Morgana and Skylar's children, not Skylar and the aliens.

Morwenna is turning out gorgeous like her mom, but with her dad's skintone. Shane... umm.. not so much. mom's skintone, dad's eyes and possibly hair. But he's an ugly toddler. Well, ugly compared to how his sister looked. He has no upper lip and huge chipmunk cheeks. The twins, it's too early to tell, but they have normal faces, green skin and the black alien eyes. Photos of them after I get better ones.

But here's one when the twins were born-

Now, Skylar had woken Morgana up, and handed her Sirius, when she was standing behind were he is now. Then he had Meissa. Well, Morgana put Sirius on the floor and started making the bed. The game automatically moved Sirius to where you see him. The look on her face is priceless. It's all, 'I don't see that green baby on the floor, nor do I see my husband holding another green baby. Nope, sure don't.'

I died laughing.

I also got them two puppies- Isis, the white one and Osiris, the black/brown one. Male and Female. Yes, I'm going to try my hand at backyard breeding in my Sims2 game. Hel, that's as close as I'll ever get after all.

Some days, I should not be allowed in the kitchen. After making chocolate chocolate chip muffins for Mark for breakfast- damned things refused to come out of the muffin pan, and I know damned well I buttered and floured liberally, I decided to make baked potatoe and bacon chowder.

Behold... Asiago Cheese and Herb Infused Baked Potatoe, Onion and Bacon Chowder...

Homemade cream sauce with herbs and Asiago Cheese, red skinned baked potatoes, red onion and applewood smoked bacon, topped with fresh grated Asiago Cheese, paired with Ciabatta bread.

I knew I took alot of screenshots from my Sims2 families (FRAPS is da bomb for screenshots), but HOLY SHIT.

I so did not realise I took 30,000+ screenshots.

Yeah.

I just deleted maybe 8,000 of them, from families I no longer have, ones I can't use, etc. I still have 21,582 screenshots left. 15, 820 are from THREE families that have been intermarried.

Yeah. About half of those will end up deleted, but still.. Yikes.

These are the Founders of the Periwinkle Clan. Aloe and Aconite. They have three children- Basil, the eldest son, who is also a zombie with three daughters, only one of which lives with him, Bay, the only daughter and Heiress, and her toddler son, Coriander, and Borage, the youngest son who was a handful growing up and currently lives in BlueWater Village with his wife, Tempest Ramaswami, whom he met in college, and their infant son, Castor. Tempest is expecting their second child. Their granddaughter, Clary, one of Basil's daughters (his second daughter, by his deceased wife, Breanna) also lives with them. Basil's eldest daughter, Willow, lives with her mother, Laural SilverOak, and her grandmother and Founder of the SilverOak family, Rowan. Bay's husband is also deceased, stupid man tried to steal the cake from the family cowplant. (Tempest has a little sister named Raine, and two little brothers named Wind and Storm, by the by. Yes there is a theme to the Periwinkle, SilverOak and Ramaswami naming. If you haven't figured out the themes, then something's wrong with ya.}:P )

Aloe and Aconite Periwinkle, the night they concieved Basil.

Basil Periwinkle. He met Laural SilverOak in school and had a very heated fling with her, resulting in a daughter named Willow, spitting image of her grandmother, Aloe. She lives with her mother and grandmother, and has no relationship with her father. In fact, neither has ever met(seriously, they aren't on each others relationship meter). As a teen, he had an undiagnosed heart condition. The excitement of his little sister growing up was too much forhis heart and he died on the spot. His father Aconite, was so distraught that Aloe called the Grim Reaper and begged for Basil to be returned to life. Unfortunately, funds being somewhat limited, he was returned as a zombie. To spare his family more heartache, he moved out as soon as he could. He met and married Breanna, also a teen, while still in school, in their senior year. Breanna died in childbirth, leaving a teen zombie Basil with a newborn daughter to care for. Knowing he'd be unable to give Clary the stable home she needed as a baby, he asked his parents to raise her.

Being a knowledge zombie, he liked to stargaze alot. The night he became an adult, he was out stargazing and was abducted by aliens who left him with a little gift. Nine months later, Caraway was born.

Did I mention that Bsil is now my utmost favorite Sim right now? }:P

Tempest Ramaswami-Periwinkle and her infant son, Castor. Tempest met Borage in college where they fell in love and got engaged. They married at their little cottage in Bluewater Village, where they live on a bluff overlooking the ocean, where they raise veggies and fruits. Not long after, Castor was born, and now a year later, Tempest is expecting their second child.
