And start all over again. But they wouldn't let me. Something about not saying whether I'd come back again, I guess.
This is how my day started- get in the truck, start 'er up, put in gear, makes odd, and definately not right noise when shifting into gear.
Get to work after waiting 10 minutes for freakin' traffic to clear. Which means I'm running late now.
20 minutes after I get to work, I slice my fool thumb open. *Still* trying to figure out how exactly.
Several hours later, talk to the regular who's a mechanic, he listens to truck when I start 'er up and put 'er in gear. First words? 'That's not good.'
Fuck me. It doesn't sound like the tranny is slipping, doesn't feel like the tranny is slipping, and trust me, I *know* what that feels/sounds like. Its more like the linkage or the gear box are slipping or wearing/worn out. *headbrickwall* I don't need this shit.
More than likely not doing a transport again this weekend, as the leg I can do has been filled by someone else. Amazing how I can send a freakin' email the day its posted and get a reply 3 days later, saying that it had been filled by someone else that morning. WTF,over?!?
Now I realise I haven't been doing this for very long, but I provided all the neccessary info, including the leg info, the link, etc, so that should show that I at least do know what I'm doing. I dunno. It just makes me feel freakin' depressed.
Now I can't send the camera out to get fixed until I find out what's going on with the truck, if anything. I say if anything, as it didn't make the &^*&#^$%^ noise when I left work, went to the store or to the pet shop to get some Wellness brand treats for Dante.
Another regular says the company he works for is hiring. He pulls down around 1k every 2 weeks.
tHe catch? Mark says ain't no way I'm riding in/driving a big truck, wearing a pistol with a buttload of money in the back end.}:P Yeah, its for Loomis/Fargo. Heh. 1k every 2 weeks tho is mighty enticing. Working 4 days, off 3 is mighty enticing..
