By the way, they need more INTERNATIONAL swappers. So if you're interested, and have an LJ, head on over and check it out!
I think that's right, at least.}:P I sent my box to

BOX! whee! Pardon the hockey catalog, was using it to cover addresses.}:P It arrived on Weds, which surprised both of us, as we really thought it'd take longer, coming across the US and all.
Well, LOTS of goodies! Including one very specific request from me.}:P
Contents upon opening, with a very thoughtful letter, explaining the where the specific request was picked up.}:P

and under the letter... oh my... I think I started squeeing about this time. LOL

Top row, we have EVIL! EVIL! Almond Roca, that is nearly gone already. A few Starbucks goodies I have yet to see anywhere on this side of the States, honestly(maybe I'm just not lucky enough}:P)- Caramel Macchiato Biscotti, Coffee Coated Almonds, Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Almonds- which are delicious!, and the new Via coffee singles, that he says haven't been released nationwide as of yet, the hubby claimed those, as he's the coffee drinker here.}:P Also, a dark chocolate Starbucks bar. Yum.

Center we have Haiwaiian potatoe chips- in 2 flavors- Sweet Maui Onion and Luau BBQ, 2 flavors of Tim's Potatoe Chips, another local brand to the Seattle area- in sea Salt & Vinegar and Sour Cream & Onion, Daelman's Caramel Bites (that I'm resisting opening so as to make them last all that much longer}:P), Blue Diamond Bold Sea Salt & Vinegar Almonds- I haven't seen that flavor here, neat!. Corner of the Chex Mix in chedder flavor.

On the left you can see the other part of the Hawaiian Chips in Sweet Maui BBQ. We don't have a Trader Joe's in SW Virginia, much to our disappointment.}:(

Right side- We have Gardetto's! I love Gardetto's, I don't buy them often enough, lol. And TURTLE Chex Mix, omnomNom. A better shot of the Tom's Chips too. I think the bags of the local chips are fun too.}:P
And now, the specific request...
I collect ROCKS! Whenever we go some place 'new', I bring back a rock. Customers at the store I worked at would bring me rocks from places. The hubby's boss brings me rocks from places she goes on vacation. My NIECE brings me back rocks when she visits her grandparents over the summer.
So naturally, I requested a rock from Washington State, and

front/top

bottom
He went to one of Seattle's most famous areas, Alki Beach and picked up this beauty. Not only that, but he also told me a bit about the location itself in his letter. Even the hubby was duly impressed by the gorgeousness of this rock.}:P And yes,
Final shoot of the entire score-

This was a great swap, especially for my very first one! Many, MANY thanks to the Mods who set up this comm and these swaps. You guys are amazing and I look forward to more!
Hey,
Comments
I don't think so, at least, not that I remember anyway.
I've had to start putting them in snack sized baggies with notes as to where they're from, I have so many now.}:P
Hmm, I need a ROCKS! icon...
Most outings I find geodes. Sometimes I can manage to find a nice bit of limestone with a fossil in it. I'll keep you in mind when I'm out this spring and summer.
REminds me of this-
I have a few others, but that one is the only one where the wings are nearly flat.}:P
You really MUST let me know when you visit your family. }:D
I have TONS of Lake Superior agates and Petosky stones from my dad, a fellow rock hound, lol.
I'll go through my boxes of rocks and see what I can find. ;)
BTW-IJ sure is NOT user friendly. It took me three tries to post this comment. *sheesh*
ROCKS! }:P
