Where to start...

Hmm.. do I start with the tormenting of [info]starsong , or do I start with the FiberArt PostCards for FFAC...

I think I'll start with the postcards..

Yes, it's that time again.
FiberArts For A Cause is asking for donations of FiberArt PostCards again for the International Quilt Festival, Houston.

I've finished 5 FiberArt PostCards as of today.  That makes 9 total I've sent in this year. This is the LAST YEAR FFAC will be  around.   I still have all of Sept, so I hope to make at least 5 more before Oct 1st(the FiberArt PostCard due date).

ANYONE can make and donate these. They take maybe an hour or two to create, if you have a sewing machine. Me, it takes a day, as I hand sew each one.   The address to send any FiberArt PostCards you want to donate will be at the end of this post.  Materials are fairly easy to get, I use Strathmore watercolor postcards, beads, various commercial and handdyed fabrics, metallic threads, WasherWords from the scrapbooking section, etc...

On to my postcards...

Now on to the tormenting of [info]starsong.

I made this piece 3 years ago. The driftwood is from Carvin's Cove Resevoir.  The base is a piece of the White Oak that was taken down out back that year.

'Spirit of the Cove'
Driftwood, seed beads, shells, clay face, amber, hardwood base, austrian crystals, it's been lightly coated with gloss poly.

No, [info]starsong, it's not currently for sale.}:P  Commence with the cursing and gnashing of teeth in my general direction.

Oh and for what it's worth.. 'Kingdom of Heaven' makes absolutely no sense to me. Especially since I missed the first half hour of it. Ah well, I never like the Templars anyway. They got what they deserved.
