Busy, busy

Working on a special project- a few special kumihimo bracelets.

See, we're doing the Walk for Alzheimer's again this year. So I had the crazy idea of doing some purple and white kumihimo bracelets, with a purple ribbon charm on them, to help raise money for my team.

I'm currently waiting on the charms.

The Walk is Sept 15th, so I'm getting a late start on this crazy idea of mine. Since I plan to do the Walk next year too, I'll be better prepared, as I'll be able to offer these all year round, lol.

The plan is for 7-8 of them by next week, double strand, adjustable lobster claw clasp- allowing you to adjust the size from 6.5" to roughly 8.5"- they'll be offered at $10.00 each, plus shipping/handling, with the proceeds going towards our Team Donation fund. (Of course, if you'd like to simply donate, that's always welcome as well.

Why am I walking? For my grandfather who died in Sept of last year, from complications of Alzheimer's/Dementia and the rest of my family. So that we can find a cure and no one else has to go through the sorrow of watching the person you love vanish before your eyes.

Also, coming by Sunday, I have a new silk scarf. Of which you get a sneak peek-

Lovely shades of rose, lavender, purple, and greys. 15"wide x 60" long of lovely, filmy Habotai silk.
