Adventures in quilting with pets, namely cats

So I'm working on a baby quilt that was commissioned. now I use my bed(its a queen size) to lay the top and bottom out when putting in the batting, nice smooth surface. Makes it easier to pin together too.
Well I had the blankets smoothed out, told Max he couldn't lay on the bed just because i sort of made it. Of course, he didn't listen. So I moved him, that's once.
Spread the top out, and he promptly walked over and plopped down on top of it. Moved him again. Left to get the batting, came back as he was walking onto it again. Sheesh. SAid his full name sternly, he instantly froze and looked sheepish. Moved him a third time, cutting the batting piece I'd need. He wanted to play with the batting now. Moved him out of the room and shut the door in his face.
Got the batting laid out, went and got the backing, spread it out, pinned it. Now I hadn't shut the door tight that time, so he moseyed on in again, Aries following this time.
I said don't you dare get up on the bed Max. He glares at me and climbs up into the window to munch as that's where their food is.. Aries remains at the foot of the bed on the floor. I leave the room to get my scissors and return to find Max on the pinned quilt yet again. *sigh*
Moved him to the dresser near the fish tank and told him to stay there. He glares as per usual, then lays down, still glaring at me. As far as I know, he's still laying there, as he went to sleep... lol
Happens everytime.
