Introducing..

Dante the escape artist Akita!

Max came down to the store early this morning(1am) and I asked him to give her a treat when he let her in for the night. He said she let herself in. I was stunned as the gate to her kennel had been closed and latched when I checked on her yesterday afternoon. He said the gate was wide open and she let herself in the house. She's managed to fix the back door so she can push it open. All the rain last year warped it, so it needs replacing anyway.
So somehow, she decided she didn't want to be cooped up anymore, and got the latch undone and came on in the house! Silly dog!

Today's her last day of quarentine, Animal control is supposed to come by some time today to check her out and make sure she's still alive and well.}:) I just hope they come before it thunderstorms, as she is deathly afraid of thunder boomers.

I really think she chipped a bone in my wrist, as something moves in there that doesn't on my right wrist. And when it does move just right, my pinkie and ring fingers tingle like they were asleep.I guess I'll mention it when I go back for a follow up on the 26th of Aug.

Someone asked me last night if I didn't get scared working by myself on the graveyard shift. I said why? They want the money, they can have it. It ain't worth it to me. Hel, they can have all the beer in the cooler too if they want. I may be a Marine, but I ain't stupid. Crazy yes, stupid no. Besides, city and county cops use the parking lot as a turn around with us being right on the line. Working midnight gives me a break from people and let's me think. Not to mention catch up on my reading.}:) I might actually miss it when/if we finally hire some one to work it. Not.
