Wolf's Den

I've been signed up with a LiveJournal for well over a month or so now, and yet this is the first entry. Part of me is ready and raring to go, ready to just start typing and rambling , yet another part asks what makes me think I can keep an online journal updated when I can't even keep a hard copy journal updated? ahh but the greater part says if we do not try, how will we ever know whether we can succeed or not? So here goes nothing. Heh.

Went to Kara O'Caen's last night with Ben. His friend Jamie was in town on leave from the Air Force. hard to believe its been a year already. He spent 3 months in Kuwait and just got back. He actually remembered me. Heh. Ben naturally got plastered. Of course it didn't help that Jamie dinna know I don't drink 'beer' or that I was driving until 2 rounds later when he realised that Ben was drinking the Millers and not me. Poor guy about fell over himself apologizing.
Crystal was there, with Dabney. As much as she tells Ben she wants a divorce from Dabney, etc, she ain't gonna leave him, she still loves him. I'm a Watcher, I see these things.
We finally left around midnight, thought Ben was going to pass out in the truck on the way home. Had to convince him to go upstairs to his bed before he passed out and not on the stairs.

He called today while I was at work. Max called and told me he said to call him when I got home and to never let him drop drawer in a bar again. I was hoping he was too fucked up to remember that. I mean the guy don' wear underwear so he ended up mooning a bunch of people who apparently didn't like it verra much. Which was good that we left soon after.
He said something about wanting to go camping tonight, but when I called him back he was busy so he said he'd call me. I guess we're playing phone tag and seeings how its nearly 9pm and the sun's going down.. I'm thinkin' we're not going, or once I'm actually not the least bit surprised, am abit disappointed as I'll be working the midnight shift for the next 2 nights nd won't be able to then.

I'm wondering how ong its going to take the fools at work to realise that since I'm working midnights, I'm taking an extra day off during the week. I mean, since Max got his new job, pulling in more than both of us together for less hours, doing what he's going to school for and loving it thus far I'm only working to keep the health insurence and not because I
seriously have to now... course it helps with Dante's vet bills.
Thankfully her tumor results came back benign, now to get rid of the heartworm before it gets really serious. We seem to have caught it early enough that the damage should be minimal, but there's always that chance.

You know, Lady of Shalott is a damn long song and extremely freakin' sad.
